#6 - DAIRY - Why BUTTER really BETTER?

Hello Reader it's Frank,

πŸ₯› From Margarine to Butter: My Journey Back to Real Food

When I was growing up, I was told that butter would kill me.

So my mom did what she believed was best for our family. She switched us to margarine first I Can't Believe It's Not Butter, and later I would feed my family Becel. We faithfully followed the advice we heard everywhere:

  • Switch to margarine.
  • Choose low-fat foods.
  • Drink skim milk.

Like millions of people, I believed that was the healthy choice.

I followed that advice for decades.

During those years I struggled with chronic inflammation, digestive issues, skin problems that wouldn't clear up, and aching joints every morning. I assumed it was just part of getting older.

It wasn't.

What Nobody Told Me

The milk sitting in your refrigerator today has gone through multiple industrial processes that change it dramatically from the food nature intended.

Processes like pasteurization, homogenization, and skimming alter milk by removing naturally occurring enzymes, changing the structure of its fats, and stripping away fat-soluble vitamins many of which are then replaced with synthetic versions.

Ironically, one of the foods I had been taught to fear real grass-fed butter became one of the most healing foods I added back into my diet.

In This Week's Video

I take a closer look at some of the information that I wish I had known years ago!

We'll cover:

  • What pasteurization actually changes in milk and why it matters.
  • The homogenization process and what it does to milk fat.
  • Why skim milk is essentially high in milk sugar while lacking the natural fats that carry important nutrients.
  • The difference between grain-fed and grass-fed dairy.
  • The A1 vs. A2 casein discussion and why some people tolerate one better than the other.
  • The margarine story and what happened when an entire generation embraced the low-fat movement.
  • What I removed, what I added back, and how those changes affected my health and bloodwork.

Why I'm Sharing This

I'm not sharing this to create fear.

I'm sharing it because I don't want others to spend decades believing the same story I did without ever questioning it.

For years, I honestly believed that eating low-fat products and avoiding butter was protecting my health. Looking back, that advice didn't help me it may have been part of what kept me sick.

Today's rates of obesity, diabetes, autoimmune disease, and chronic inflammation suggest it's worth asking whether the nutritional advice many of us grew up with deserves another look.

My goal isn't to tell you what to believe or should all over you, we live in a time where platforms of information are now available to us and we now get the option to discern how we consume this information now.

My goal is to encourage you to ask better questions, examine the evidence for yourself, and make informed choices about your food!

Trust the process, Trust your body, Trust the One who made it...

Because in my experience:

Fix your food... Fix your life.

Cheers,

Frank
