I want to tell you something I am not proud of!
Hey Reader, it's Frank
There was a stretch of my life when I used to wake up angry with the Lord that He hadn’t taken me through the night. The pain was that bad. Stiff joints. Indigestion. Psoriasis covering 40 percent of my body. I’d put a smile on my face and get through the day, and then do it all again the next morning.
And here’s the part that still gets me. I thought I was eating healthy. I was a vegetarian for almost three years. Salads, grains, beans, tempeh. Exactly what my doctor and dietician told me to eat.
Then on June 1, 2024, somebody told me I didn’t have to live that way.
Two and a half years later I’m down over 90 pounds and off every single medication I thought I’d be on for the rest of my life. I’m 56 and I feel better than I did at 40.
People ask me all the time, “Frank, where do I even start?”
Take your pictures and get your blood work done before you eat a single steak. Thirty days from now your brain will forget how bad it was. The pictures won’t.
Clean out the pantry. At 9 o’clock at night, the cookies always win. So don’t give them a chance.
My whole starter grocery list fits on one sticky note. Eggs, butter, bacon, salt, meat. That’s it.
Keep it simple. When you’re lost on the road, the first thing you do is turn down the radio. Your first month is the same.
Salt your food and drink your water. Low salt, low battery. This is the one most people get wrong.
Survive the grumpy first two weeks. Day five is the darkest part of the tunnel. Keep swimming.
Track your wins, not just the scale. The scale is a really bad storyteller.
I also share the weird stuff nobody warned me about, what I actually ate for breakfast, lunch and supper, and the one thing I’d do differently if I started over today.
Grab your phone, stand in front of the mirror, take the picture, and write down how you feel. How are your knees? How are you sleeping? How’s your skin?
That’s it for today. Tomorrow, work on the pantry. Little steps, all heading in the same direction.
If you want a head start, grab my free guide, 7 Foods That Are Breaking Your Body. These are the seven foods I cut out first.
Hit reply and tell me: what’s the one thing you’re hoping carnivore fixes for you? I read every reply.
I’m rooting for you.
Until then, trust the process, trust your body, and trust the One who made it. Fix your food. Fix your life.
Fix your food... Fix your life.
Cheers Fixers,
Frank The Carnivore Fix
P.S. If you’re an all-in kind of person like I was, please hear me on this. I cut everything at once because I was desperate, and the bathroom side of things was rough. Try one all-meat meal a day for a couple of days first. And freeze your butter. If it goes in as a liquid, it comes out as a liquid. The full explanation is in the video.
